Our President, Linda Bell, being awarder her HonNWPA by Charles Meadows, Vice President. Congratulations from all of us in the NWPA, a well deserved award that Linda was honoured to receive, which left her speechless.

Print Battle Results - Held April 21st at Craig y Don
Our judge for the day was Mike McNamee, the Editor of The Societies' Professional Imagemaker magazine and also a member of the Birkenhead Photographic Association.
The event was opened by the NWPA President, Linda Bell, who welcomed all those attending.
Twelve clubs were taking part in the competition - each entering 8 prints making a total of 96 prints for Mike to judge and comment on.

1st Mold CC on 145 points
2nd Conwy CC on 143 points
3rd Deeside CC on 142 points
4th Hawarden CC on 141 points
5th Llandundo PS on 139 points
6th Beaumaris & Menai Bridge CC on 138 points
7th = Blaenau CC and Prestatyn CC on 137 points
9th Dwyfor CC on 134 points
10th Rhyl PS on 132 points
11th Ruthin CC on 130 points
12th Dyffryn Ogwen CC on 125
Congratulations go to Mold CC for winning the competition and to Chris Evans of Prestatyn CC who gained the Best Print Medal for 'The Tusk' - a superb monochrome image of the Chung Ku Chinese restaurant which was printed on Permajet Titanium Lustre paper.
The NWPA Executive Committee approved the proposal to honour members for exceptional and/or long service. Since then our Secretary, Terry Mills has worked hard to co-ordinate the nominations and at the Executive Meeting on Sunday 3rd March the first presentations were made by our President, Andy Polakowski,

Frank Barber being awarded his HonNWPA by the Prsidient Andy Polakowski, for his contribution as Exhibition Frame Storage and Exhibition Hanging and organising, Judge, Exec Rep.

Peter Carlyon of the Llandudno Photographic Society has been providing technical expertise for many years for the NWPA
and his own club in an efficient and pleasant manner which goes unseen but is vital to the smooth running of events.
Phil Chadwick being awarded his HonNWPA by the President Ian O'Neill.
Phil has been active in all aspects of the NWPA for 17 years including Judges and Lecturers Oganiser for the last 3 years, and is currently the Awards Officer for the region, which has held for four years.
A small presentation was held, where Andy Polakowski (NWPA President), presented Rhodri with a certificate and lapel badge commemorating this award. Susan Clark (Conwy Camera Club Chair), Tony Davies (CCC NWPA Rep) and Peter & Sylvia Jones were also in attendance.

Tom Dodd being awarded his HonNWPA by the Vice President Ian O'Neill, for his work as Six years as Exhibition Secretary. Many, many years as Judge & Lecturer around all N.W. clubs.
David was awared HonNWPA for NWPA Website constructor and management, IT manager for Club and Federation, Judge and Lecturer.

Mike being awarded his HonNWPA by the President Ian O'Neill. Mike has been a member of Caernarfon CC for nearly 40 years, holding many posts including Competition Secretary, Delegate but his biggest role, held for many years, was Club Secretary. He has also been very active with the NWPA, running the Exhibition for three years, including producing the catalogue of the Exhibition.

Wyn was awarded his HonNWPA for Prominent Long officer of Grwst, Exec Rep and Webmaster.
Andy Polakowski being awarded his HonNWPA by the past-President, AE Dave Jones, awarded for 30 odd years as Judge & Lecturer around all N. W. Clubs and onto the Wirral. Always encouraging members to further their photography. Exec Rep, Vice President.

Unfortunatly Geoff passed away before receiving his award, but Ram Patel was please to hand over the award on our behalf to Geoff's wife, who was delighted, and said Geoff would have been thrilled with it.
Paul was a member in the early 1970’s of Hawarden Institute Camera Club. In 1977 he was appointed Secretary of the
club, a post which he held until the formation of the Hawarden Photographic Society in 2011 – a total of 34 years. In
2011 he was appointed again, as Club Secretary for Hawarden Photographic Society, a position he holds to this day,
making a total of 42 years of unbroken service as a Photographic Club Secretary.
David Kay became a member of the Hawarden Institute Camera Club in the early 1970s and was made Club Treasurer in
1978, a position that he held until 2011 and continued to hold when the Hawarden Photographic Society was formed,
making a total of 41 years of unbroken service as a Photographic Club Treasurer.
Emyr Roberts being awarded his HonNWPA by the Prsidient Andy Polakowski, awarded for being the Mainstay of Dyffryn Ogwen for many, many years. Organiser of the annual Battle for many years.
